School Mission

August 2025

In August 2025, Sri Prema Charity Village warmly welcomed around 1,000 school children from Channapatna, a town in the state of Karnataka. This special event was a powerful expression of solidarity and commitment to the education and well-being of the youngest members of the community, many of whom come from economically disadvantaged families.

During the day, backpacks, essential school supplies such as notebooks, pens, pencils, and colors were distributed, along with nutritious meals to support the children in their daily activities. The main goal was to provide the children with the necessary tools to face the school year with confidence, thereby promoting education as a key to a better future.

Local authorities and the police chief actively participated in the event, showing their support and cooperation with the charitable village. Their presence added further significance to the initiative, highlighting the social and community value of this solidarity effort.

The humanitarian initiative and the service provided to the government schools of Channapatna Taluk, in Bangalore district, were widely covered by local newspapers, which emphasized the positive impact of the event on the community. Thanks to these efforts, Sri Prema Charity Village continues to establish itself as an important point of reference for supporting education and social development in the region.

On July 27, 2023, Sri Prema Charitable Village had the pleasure of welcoming over 1,200 school children from Channapatna, India. In an atmosphere of great participation and in the presence of local authorities, our volunteers distributed backpacks filled with all the necessary school supplies to start the new academic year with enthusiasm and confidence. The goal was to ensure that every child has equal opportunities to study, without lacking any essential materials.

Every year, the Sri Prema Sai Charitable Trust expands its commitment by adopting an increasing number of schools to support, thus strengthening its educational and social mission. Thanks to this important project, we were once again able to bring smiles to 1,200 children, offering them not only the tools to learn but also a profound message about the importance of giving with love and generosity.

December 2022 – January 2023

The year 2023 has begun, and the mission of Sri Prema Charitable Village continues with commitment and determination in the villages of Channapatna. In this new chapter of the project, two additional schools were added to the support program, thereby expanding the reach and the number of children who can benefit from our initiatives.

Study mats, desks, and lockers were provided—essential tools to create a more comfortable and organized school environment, thus promoting students’ learning and well-being. Additionally, bags of sweets were distributed, a small gesture that brought joy and happiness to the children, strengthening the bond between the community and the volunteers.

A symbolic and important moment was the breaking of the stick with which children were punished: a gesture representing the end of old punitive practices and the beginning of an educational approach based on respect, understanding, and encouragement. This change reflects the desire to promote a more humane and positive education, where every child can grow up in a safe and stimulating environment.
